Bricco di Neive

Although the borders of the MGA reach the vineyards on the slope overlooking the village of Coazzolo, traditionally Bricco di Neive refers to the vast strip of vineyards extending along the opposite side, between the hamlet of Moniprandi and Cascina Spessa. Here, due to higher altitude and the type of soil, Nebbiolo often gives way to Moscato, though that does not mean that conditions, in particular the exposure, are not suited to Nebbiolo. For that matter, the Barbaresco wines produced here, although they may lack the nuances and particular rigor of those of Serraboella, tend to show solid and sometimes voluminous structure.
