Vallegrande

With the exception of the vineyards near the valley floor and those bordering Giacosa, the Vallegrande MGA boasts a number of favorable positions for Nebbiolo, in terms of both exposure and soil characteristics. However, it’s hard to find common features in Barbaraesco wines that ranges from the more linear style of Cà del Baio to the more rugged style of Fratelli Grasso (though this might well depend on differences in winemaking philosophies).
