Valeirano

Treiso and Alba
Valeirano

Long considered one of the most valuable areas of Treiso, Valeirano represents the continuation toward the valley of Ausario (or rather of its best exposed part). Excluding the lower vineyards near the valley floor and those along the border with Rizzi, the rest of Valeirano enjoys good exposure and optimally uniform altitudes (since the zone is more longitudinal than vertical in extension). The wines of Valeirano are generally less austere than those of Rombone, but a bit fleshier than those of Ausario, at times with “cold” and easily recognizable tannins.
