San Cristoforo

Following the road from Rondò di Neive toward Borgata Gavello, everything on the left is part of the San Cristoforo MGA, which is not only very extensive but also highly articulated. The dominant and very open position (the heights afford truly breathtaking views) means that even sites which are theoretically cooler give respectable results. This translates into wines of good structure, though sometimes a bit austere in character, usually requiring a few years of aging to reach mellowed equilibrium.
Menzioni Vigna: Campo Quadro, Ferracavallo, Valtorta.
