Treiso and Alba
Rombone

The Rombone MGA is located at the end of the hill that descends from Ausario (on the border with Bricco di Treiso) towards the hamlet of Pertinace. The central point of this MGA is the farmstead of the same name, around which the vineyards are arranged practically at 180°, moving from the south-west exposure of the vineyards on the Manzola and Valeirano side (very favourable for Nebbiolo) to the much cooler exposure of the side facing Pajorè and Montaribaldi. As for the wines, which have long been among the most interesting in the municipality, the structure is generally more compact than in Ausario and Manzola and more austere than in Valeirano.
