Rabajà – Bas

Despite the fact that its name was coined only recently, when the division of the township vineyards into MGAs became official, this particular part of Barbaresco has long enjoyed a certain reputation thanks to the efforts of the Minuto family of Cascina Luisin, which, up until a few vintages ago, utilized it for its Barbaresco Rabajà (just as Luigi Bianco winery, now Castello di Verduno, did in the past). Small in size – the smallest both of the township and the entire appellation – and precisely for this reason rather homogeneous in exposure and soil, it generally produces wines of good volume and structure.
