Marcarini

Treiso and Alba
Marcarini

The vineyards of Marcarini can be divided into three distinct parts: one which faces westwards (first image) and where, at the boundary with Pajorè and in the lower plots known as Baudran, has some excellent sites for Nebbiolo; the second (Monte Aribaldo), dominated by the Villa Gresy (second image) where, despite the excellent exposures, Dolcetto was traditionally cultivated; the third, which faces eastward and overlooks Vallegrande (third and fourth images). The wines on the market do not always show these differences, and are generally marked by their delicate character and pleasurable immediacy.
