Treiso and Alba
Ausario

Sitting at the top of the ridge which divides Marcarini from Rizzi, , and therefore not easy to capture in a single image, Ausario occupies one of the highest positions in this sector (with the exception of Bricco di Treiso). The part most suitable for the production of Barbareso is a thin strip of vineyards which overlooks the Valeirano MGA with which, except for the altitude, it has much in common. The wines, in fact, are similar in style, with the slightly “cool” character of Valeirano, accompanied, however, by a greater fruitiness and a lesser solidity of texture.
