Secondine

Its value acknowledged only in recent times by a deserved number of labels, this MGA has always been considered one of the best crus of Barbaresco, at least in its better exposed vineyards. The first that come to mind are those of Secondine proper, or Sorì Secondine, which from the cascina of the name descend steeply toward the Tanaro, and Sorì San Lorenzo, also known as San Donato or Masuè. Nor could we neglect the tradition behind Ghiga, a small area between Sorì San Lorenzo and Pajè that in the past enjoyed certain fame (as confirmed by the laudatory citations of Lorenzo Fantini, at the end of the 19th century, and of Renato Ratti in more recent times).
