Ovello

The Ovello MGA, as now delimited, extends along both sides of the ridge that ascends from Vicenziana toward Barbaresco. It is an extensive area (by far the largest MGA of the commune) and contains a truly significant spread of Nebbiolo vines. Of the two slopes that compose it, that of Cascina Morassino and Bernino is usually cooler and has its best positions in vineyards exposed toward the southeast. The opposite slope, which includes the historical areas of Loreto, Casot and Canova, has warmer exposure, with the exception of the Canova vineyards which are closer to the center of Barbaresco.

Menzioni Vigna: Loreto.
