barbaresco
Gaia – Principe

Enclosed for the most part between the railway that runs near the base of the valley and the road leading from Neive to Tre Stelle, this MGA extends over a single slope. However, between the borders with Fausoni and Currà, the slope makes a sweeping curve, stretching from the cooler exposures on the side facing Gallina to warmer exposures in the vineyards facing Cottà. This difference, in theory not negligible, seems to make little difference in the character of the wines, which are usually noted more for elegance and fruit than structure.
Menzioni Vigna: Slizza.
